Chaweng Beach
One of the best and most popular beach on Koh Samui. Whether you want to relax or party. Chaweng Beach has it all. Jet skis, paragliding, banana boat sand the white soft sand, clear warm waters makes this the idea place to spend part of your days relaxing.
Lamai Beach
Lamai Beach is just a little further south along from Chaweng Beach. It’s one of the quieter beaches to explore but still has plenty of eating and shopping with some great spas and tourist site for you to enjoy.
Silver Beach
Silver Beach is located between Chaweng and Lamai beach and is a small soft white sand beach with crystal clearwater. Less famous than many other beaches on the island, the spectacular Silver Beach is usually also fairly quiet and makes for an enjoyable relaxing afternoon. The beach has a few restaurants where you can enjoy your lunch or dinner with are laxing beer or cocktail. There are no sun loungers to hire on the beach so make sure to bring your own towel or beach mat to relax.
Day Time Attractions
Lad Koh View point
This stunning viewpoint is located on the remaining ring road the south end of Chaweng Beach. The Samui view point sits on limestone boulder overlooking all of Chaweng and beyond.
Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks
These oddly shaped rocks sit on the South end of Lamai Beach. People are drawn to them for more than the fantastic sunsets. They’re now a world famous tourist attraction thanks to the tale of how they came about: allegedly ,a man and woman died in a boating accident off Lamai Beach. Their bodies washed ashore and came to form the Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks.
Big Buddha
The12 meter high Buddha sits on a small island that can be reached by road. In front of the temple are craft shops and food stalls catering to the visitor. Entering the temple, you first come to a large paved courtyard with a dragon stair way on the other side. Flanking the stairs are two small pavilions housing smaller Buddha images. Night Time Things to Do
Night Market Walking Street
Spend an evening night market shopping for locally produced shoes, bags and clothes or sample the cheap and tasty food from street kitchens that Thailand is so famous for. While there are numerous night markets on Koh Samui. we recommend Fisherman’s Village Night Market in Bophut about 10 minutes from Punnpreeda Beach Resort which takes place very Friday from5 PM where the streets are closed off for cars in order for install to set up making it a European feeling with some of the best restaurants on the island come to life.
Thai Boxing– Muay Thai
World Famous Petch Buncha Boxing Stadium is situated in Chaweng and is regarded to be the Best Boxing Stadium in the South of Thailand. Watch high class bouts between local and international Muay Thai Boxers which are guaranteed to be top class entertainment. Full Moon Party
Koh Phangan is 20 kilometers off the coast of Bangrak Beach. It is a celebrated island that hosts the biggest beach full moon party in the world. For up to date times and details please contact reception or contact [email protected] for up to the minute information.
How to get to Koh Samui
Air to Koh Samui:
Bangkok Airways is the fastest, easiest and most convenient way to reach the island. Estimated flight time from all parts of Thailand is about 1-2 hours. There are many connections from Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Mai and Pattaya direct to Samui International Airport (USM) as well international flights from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hong Kong and China. A cheaper option is to fly via Suratthani(mainland) with NokAir, AirAsia or Lion Air. You can book combination tickets which includes the Flight + bus+ ferry to Samui or just book the ferry and bus at the Suratthani airport.
Note: Bangkok Airports Suvarnabhumi (Main International Airport BKK)and Don Muang (Low Cost Airport DMK) are separate airports in different locations of Bangkok area and please allow travelling time between connections.
Bus to Koh Samui:
To reach Koh Samui by coach is very easy. Several companies have established connections. Buses run several times daily from Bangkok (Southern Bus Terminal) or Lomprayah Company located at Khao San Road Bangkok. The travel time by bus is estimated about 12 hours. The boat crossing takes another 1.5hours.
Travelling from Phuket, Krabi and Koh Phi Phi, Hat Yai to Koh Samui by bus takes about 4-5 hours and costs approx. 500 Thai baht including Ferry Tickets.
Train to Koh Samui
The night sleeper train from Bangkok to Suratthani is a comfortable ,exciting and easy way to travel which takes approx. 15 hours from Bangkok to Koh Samui. The journey includes Train, Bus and Ferry. The combined tickets can be booked in many travel agencies in Bangkok or directly at the train station in Bangkok
(Hua Lamphong Railway Station). It is recommended to choose an air-conditioned sleeper and book your tickets in advance as demand is high anytime of the year.

Public Transport
Shared public transportation the island is the Songthaew, a small pick-up truck with benches for passengers along either side. Destinations for any given Songthaew will be displayed on the front or sides of the truck. The basic routes are Nathon–Bophut -Chaweng-Lamai and Nathon-BigBuddha– Chaweng. Inform the driver where you're going before you get on the bus to be sure he's going there. They do not always follow the same route.
Yellow Taxi
These are available ask the price before departure. There are no meter Taxi on Koh Samui.
Samui International Airport
5 minutes to Bangrak Beach, Punnpreeda Beach Resort. Shared transfers are available at the airport counter service.
Seatran Ferry pier Nathon:-
30 minutes from the pier to Bangrak Beach. Shared transfers are available at the Seatran Ferry terminal and also onboard the ferry. Public transport is available at the ferry port inform the driver where you're going before you get on to be sure he is going there. They don't always follow the same route and also ask the fare.
Raja Ferry pier Lipa Noi:-
45 Minutes from the Pier to Bangrak Beach. Shared transfers are available at the Raja Ferry terminal and also onboard the ferry. Public transport is available at the ferry port inform the driver where you're going before you get on to be sure he is going there. They don't always follow the same route and also ask the fare.
